Volleyball Recap: Glenn Grizzlies vs. Hays Hawks
Glenn lost against Hays back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grizzlies fell 3-1 to the Hawks. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hays scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17.
Mia Brandl paced Glenn's offense, picking up 19 kills. Brandl got some help from Briley Camp and her 25 assists.
Hays' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Rodriguez, who had 20 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angela Huffman, who had seven digs and three aces.
Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 15-25. As for Hays, they moved to 19-22 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.
As of now, neither Glenn nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
