Shane Piester posted a new career-high in doubles on Monday. He went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Even though Piester couldn't lead Maranatha Christian over Bishop, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
