Softball Game Preview: Central Valley Christian Cavaliers vs. Exeter Monarchs

The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers will head out to square off against the Exeter Monarchs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Central Valley Christian nor Exeter posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Central Valley Christian lost 17-1 to Sierra Pacific on Friday. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Exeter didn't have quite enough to beat Immanuel on Friday and fell 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Monarchs have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Exeter and nudges their season record down to 8-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Central Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Central Valley Christian might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Exeter when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
