Recap: McLean County Cougars vs. Muhlenberg County
Even though the McLean County Cougars have not done well against Muhlenberg County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. McLean County had just enough and edged Muhlenberg County out 47-44. For McLean County, this counts as revenge for the 40-35 loss Muhlenberg County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
McLean County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katie McCoy, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Kenadi Level, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
McLean County's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Muhlenberg County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
McLean County will head out on the road to face off against Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Muhlenberg County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butler County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
