East Kentwood lost to West Ottawa back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The East Kentwood Falcons walked away with a 62-50 win over the West Ottawa Panthers. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Panthers are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for East Kentwood and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for West Ottawa, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Ottawa, they are taking a road trip to take on Grand Haven at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
