Baseball Recap: Southeast Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Southeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks on Monday. For the Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 victory the Jayhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Colten Jameson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Southeast let Henry Burns and Izaak Dickenson run wild. Burns scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Dickenson scored a run while going 1-for-2. Solomon Scott was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Southeast pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Jayhawk Linn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southeast beat Jayhawk Linn by a score of 8-7 later that day.
