Basketball Recap: Valley's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Valley won the last time they faced Ankeny and things went their way on Friday too. The Valley Tigers secured a 64-60 W over the Ankeny Hawks. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Hawks are ranked 74th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Ankeny, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
