Baseball Game Preview: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Bishop McCort Crushers

Forest Hills has gone 8-1 against Bishop McCort recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rangers will venture away from home to face off against the Crushers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Forest Hills came out on top against Penn Cambria on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Rangers blew past the Panthers 7-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Forest Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Richardson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Richardson has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, Bishop McCort got the win against Greater Johnstown on Monday by a conclusive 14-3. That's two games straight that the Crushers have won by exactly 11 runs.

Forest Hills' victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Bishop McCort, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Everything went Forest Hills' way against Bishop McCort in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Forest Hills made off with a 15-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
