It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-47 win over the Generals. The victory was familiar territory for Math Civics & Sciences who now have four in a row.

It was another big night for Sair Alsbrooks, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Azeem Murphy, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Defeat or not, Constitution got some senior leadership from Perry Fields and Amir Speights. Fields scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four blocks, while Speights. scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Fields hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kory Jones, who scored two points along with five rebounds.

Math Civics & Sciences has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Constitution, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.

Math Civics & Sciences will face off against Imhotep Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Imhotep Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Math Civics & Sciences likes a good challenge.
