Baseball Game Preview: Murray Tigers vs. Henderson County Colonels

The Murray Tigers will face off against the Henderson County Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Henderson County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Murray, who comes in off a win.

Murray is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Edmonson County with a sharp 17-5 victory on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Henderson County came up short against Evansville Harrison on Saturday, falling 17-5. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henderson County got a good showing from Christian Haygan, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Hunter Evans was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cooper Vowels, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Henderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Murray, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
