Basketball Recap: Wayland-Cohocton Drops Highest Score of Season Against Livonia

Wayland-Cohocton scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Livonia Bulldogs by a score of 66-64. The Eagles have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Wayland-Cohocton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Fedorchuk dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Fedorchuk is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Bauer, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Wayland-Cohocton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wayland-Cohocton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Livonia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland-Cohocton will host Warsaw at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wayland-Cohocton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Livonia, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Perry at 7:00 p.m.
