Winter Haven gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ridge Community Bolts with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was Winter Haven's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-9, 25-7.

Winter Haven can attribute much of their success to Camila DeJesus, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces DeJesus has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinklee Catrett, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Winter Haven was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridge Community only served four aces.

Winter Haven has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Calvary Christian on the 21st. As for Ridge Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Auburndale on the 21st.
