Baseball Game Preview: Middlesboro Yellowjackets vs. Harlan County Black Bears

For the second straight game, Middlesboro will face off against Harlan County. The Yellowjackets will host the Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Middlesboro comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Middlesboro's offense. They came up short against Harlan County on Monday, falling 15-0.

For Harlan County's part, Dashaun Smith was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Smith has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunner Burkhart, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Harlan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Middlesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Harlan County, their win bumped their record up to 3-6-1.
