Skyline dropped down to 6-8 on Thursday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Desert Ridge Jaguars, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Coyotes have suffered since September 4th.

As for Desert Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kai Perkins, who had 16 digs and six assists. That's the most assists Perkins has posted over her last five games. Another player making a difference was Bailey Demore, who had five digs and five aces.

Coming up, Skyline will face off against Maryvale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Desert Ridge, they are taking a road trip to square off against Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
