Baseball Recap: Boerne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pieper on Monday, Boerne came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Boerne's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Pieper, their win bumped their record up to 14-8-1.

Coming up, Boerne will square off against Wagner at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pieper, they will take on Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Cougars will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
