Baseball Recap: James Logan Gets the Win

James Logan got themselves on the board against Dougherty Valley on Saturday, but Dougherty Valley never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Not much got past Wesley Vega, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Dougherty Valley off the board. Vega has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Evan Yau, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lester Miranda, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for James Logan and bumps their season record up to 2-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 14.5 hits in those games compared to only 4.5 in the others. As for Dougherty Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
