Basketball Recap: Aubrey Spitzer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Christian

Trinity Christian School of Griffin hadn't done well against Central Christian recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS blew past the Central Christian Crusaders 40-17. With the LIONS ahead 26-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrey Spitzer led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Parker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity Christian School of Griffin and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Central Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Skipstone Academy the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian School of Griffin will head out to face Skipstone Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Central Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
