Basketball Game Preview: Eastland Cougars vs. Polo Marcos

Eastland has gone a perfect 10-0 against Polo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eastland Cougars will take on the Polo Marcos at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Eastland strolled past Morrison with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Polo waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They skirted past the Royals 67-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Marcos have posted since January 29, 2024.

Polo's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Eastland, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

Eastland strolled past Polo in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 49-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
