Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Wins High-Profile Match Against Liberty

On Thursday, Shadow Ridge faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs escaped with a win against the Liberty Patriots by the margin of a single free throw, 35-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Liberty's loss came despite strong showings from Satsuki Bradley and Brylee Christensen. Bradley almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, while Christensen posted eight points and six rebounds. What's more, Bradley also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Mia Versola was another key player, putting up five points.

Shadow Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Liberty, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-6.
