Softball Recap: South Sumter Falls Short of Eustis in the Playoffs

South Sumter and Eustis squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Sumter had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

South Sumter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raven Parker, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

South Sumter's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Eustis, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

South Sumter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eustis, they have already played their next game, a 13-4 victory against Crystal River on the 15th.
