Sylvan-Lucas won the last time they faced Thunder Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Longhorns. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Sylvan-Lucas easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16.

Harlee Nelson paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up six kills. Nelson got some help from Lily Pancost and her nine assists. Pancost was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sylvan-Lucas' victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Thunder Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Sylvan-Lucas will challenge Lakeside on Saturday. As for Thunder Ridge, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Stockton on the 23rd.
