Basketball Game Preview: Laguardia vs. Graphics

Laguardia has gone 3-0 against Graphics recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Laguardia will venture away from home to face off against Graphics at 4:30 p.m. Graphics took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Laguardia, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Laguardia strolled past Seward Park with points to spare, taking the game 46-28. Given Laguardia's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Seward Park is ranked 466th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Graphics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stuyvesant.

Laguardia is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Graphics, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Laguardia against Graphics in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 58-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Laguardia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
