Softball Game Preview: Cypress Ridge Rams vs. Cypress Falls Eagles

The Cypress Ridge Rams will take on the Cypress Falls Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cypress Ridge is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Stratford just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 12-1.

Ariel Arambula put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to Cy-Fair.

Cypress Falls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Leblanc, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Cypress Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Cypress Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Falls in their previous matchup back in March, winning 15-12. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
