Burges's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Coronado Thunderbirds by a score of 52-45. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Among those leading the charge was Alex Bermudez, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Marcus Sanchez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Burges' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Coronado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Burges will challenge Montwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coronado, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Americas at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
