Softball Recap: Burlington Township Beats Florence Township Memorial for Their Sixth Straight Win

Burlington Township waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They had just enough and edged out the Florence Township Memorial Flashes 8-6. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 win the Flashes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Karisa Krawiec was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Olivia Wiley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Burlington Township pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Florence Township Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington Township will take on Robbinsville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Ravens' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Florence Township Memorial, they will square off against Princeton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
