The matchup between Mariner and Fort Myers on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Mariner Tritons put the hurt on the Fort Myers Green Wave with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Tritons have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mariner pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those seven matchups. As for Fort Myers, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4-1.
