Football Game Preview: Mead Mavericks vs. Greeley Central Wildcats + How To Watch

The Mead Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Greeley Central Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Greeley Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mead, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Mead beat Timnath 21-10. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mavericks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Cubs are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Greeley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-20 heartbreaker at the hands of Northridge. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring contest to date.

Mead's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Greeley Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Mead against Greeley Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
