It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverside can now relate to. They fell just short of the Andrews Mustangs by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Friday.

Zoey Quintana spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Valdivia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Valdivia is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Andrews, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7 record this season.
