Winters extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 8-1. They came out on top against the Paradise Bobcats by a score of 28-21. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.
It was another big night for Lane Brown, who rushed for 164 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 197 yards and three TDs. As for Paradise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Pierce (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 94.4% over those games).
When it comes to explaining why Paradise lost, don't look at Davis. Despite the final result, he threw for 183 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. Evan Higgs helped Davis out on the ground, rushing for 118 yards.
