Woodruff had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Broome on Monday. Everything went the Woodruff Wolverines' way against the Broome Centurions as the Woodruff Wolverines made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Wolverines have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Woodruff's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Broome, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Woodruff will have a chance to go back-to-back against Broome: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
