Baseball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

Cosby came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-3 to the Washburn Pirates. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Cosby saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Baker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 4-19-1. As for Washburn, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-8-1.

As of now, neither Cosby nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
