Basketball Recap: Pantego Christian Beats Anson for Their Fourth Straight Win

Pantego Christian waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They wrapped up 2024 with a 72-53 win over the Anson Tigers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pantego Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Jackson, who went 11 of 19 on his way to 28 points. Those 28 points gave Jackson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Brooks, who went 8 of 12 en route to 17 points.

Pantego Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Anson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Pantego Christian will venture away from home to face off against Shelton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anson, they will welcome Cisco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
