Softball Recap: Symmes Valley Continues Home Dominance on Friday

While Symmes Valley's win against Chillicothe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cavaliers a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Vikings have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Symmes Valley pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Chillicothe, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Symmes Valley will host South Point at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chillicothe, they will take on Paint Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
