Volleyball Recap: Gertz-Ressler Falls to Neuwirth Leadership Academy in First Game of Season

Gertz-Ressler unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Neuwirth Leadership Academy Boxers on Monday. If the Pumas were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Boxers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-10, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20.

The victory (which was Neuwirth Leadership Academy's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Gertz-Ressler will challenge USC Hybrid at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gertz-Ressler is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season. As for Neuwirth Leadership Academy, they will square off against Animo Robinson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give Animo Robinson their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
