Softball Recap: Merrill Takes a Loss

Merrill made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Vestaburg, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vandals fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-1 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Vandals have lost by exactly two runs.

Merrill's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Vestaburg, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

While Merrill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
