Volleyball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

The Washington Rams lost 3-0 to the Desert Edge Scorpions on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-18.

Ben Marquez paced Washington's offense, picking up 11 kills. Marquez got some help from Carlos Torres Nava and his eight assists. Muzzammil San controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Washington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Desert Edge, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Glendale on the 1st. As for Desert Edge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Youngker on the 1st.
