Wellsville never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cuba-Rushford Rebels as they made off with a 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won six in a row.

Kennedy Perry made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Makenna Dunbar was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Ayla Faulkner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Wellsville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.

Wellsville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cuba-Rushford, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Wellsville will take on Hornell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cuba-Rushford, they will challenge Andover at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
