Softball Recap: Almeta Crawford Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Almeta Crawford's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Angleton Wildcats on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Almeta Crawford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Pomales-Ng, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Pomales-Ng hit this season.

Almeta Crawford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Angleton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Almeta Crawford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Marque at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Angleton, they will host Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
