Baseball Recap: Labelle Has No Trouble Against Gateway

LaBelle won the last time they faced Gateway and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cowboys/Cowgirls blew past the Eagles 13-6. The Cowboys/Cowgirls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ty Murray was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. LaBelle is undefeated when Murray posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmelo Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for LaBelle and bumps their season record up to 13-10. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 14-9 Mariner (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.1% over those games). As for Gateway, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

LaBelle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-1 loss against Canterbury on the 9th. As for Gateway, they have also already played their next game, a 14-3 defeat against Mariner on the 9th.
