Softball Recap: String Theory Find Success

String Theory's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering String Theory has won five contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Annamae Uhl was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Danica Divincenzo was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Savannah Iamurri was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

String Theory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got String Theory back to even at 5-5. As for Abraham Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Coming up, String Theory will head out to take on Abington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Abraham Lincoln has already played their next match (against Saul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
