Baseball Recap: Ware Shoals Comes Up Short

Ware Shoals entered their match against Dixie on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Ware Shoals came up short against Dixie, falling 8-2. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Dixie since on Thursday.

Ware Shoals saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Boyter, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Ware Shoals and nudges their season record down to 11-5. As for Dixie, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ware Shoals will square off against GREEN Upstate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dixie, they will head out to take on Thornwell at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
