Volleyball Recap: Columbia Falls Wildcats vs. Polson Pirates
If Columbia Falls was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Corvallis on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Polson Pirates on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Columbia Falls started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-12.
Rylee Sweeney paced Columbia Falls' offense, picking up 14 kills. Sweeney got some help from Jezanie Brooks and her 31 assists. Alizabeth Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Columbia Falls' loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Polson, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2-1.
