Softball Recap: Lake Howell Silver Hawks vs. Winter Springs Bears

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Howell can now relate to. They lost 11-0 to the Winter Springs Bears on Tuesday. Lake Howell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Winter Springs' part, Lake Howell's batters probably weren't too happy with Tiffany Seeman, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up two walks).

On the hitting side, Winter Springs got a massive performance out of Alondra Maldonado, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and a double. Kendyl Gaffney was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Lake Howell's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Winter Springs, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-12.

Lake Howell will head out on the road to take on Oakleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Oakleaf has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Winter Springs, they are on the road again on Thursday to play Hagerty at 6:00 p.m. Both teams will come into the game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
