Basketball Recap: Olympic Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Barri Terry and Chaya James

Olympic lost against Ardrey Kell back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Olympic Trojans took a 43-25 bruising from the Ardrey Kell Knights. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Olympic's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chaya James, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, and Barri Terry, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and three steals. James is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played.

Leading Ardrey Kell to victory were Karly Glahn and Layla Mapp. Glahn earned 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Mapp went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Mccoy, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Olympic's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Ardrey Kell, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Olympic has already played their next match, a 46-32 victory against Berry on the 17th. As for Ardrey Kell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-33 win against Palisades on the 17th.
