Baseball Game Preview: Milken Wildcats vs. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves

For the second straight game, Milken will face off against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica. The Wildcats will face off against the Seawolves at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Milken is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Seawolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Milken got a great performance from Jordan Liebman as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Liebman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Joey Schwartz and Elijah Shokrian did most of the damage at the plate: Schwartz scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Shokrian scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Shokrian is becoming a predictor of Milken's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Benjamin Feiner also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Milken kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Milken now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.
