Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Cougars vs. Comeaux Spartans

The St. Thomas More Cougars will square off against the Comeaux Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Comeaux took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Thomas More, who comes in off a win.

St. Thomas More is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Westgate: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that St. Thomas More blew Westgate out of the water with a 54-25 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Katecamille Tatman, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Hayden Quinlan was another key player, going 6 of 13 en route to 12 points.

St. Thomas More was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Comeaux had to suffer through a 60-27 loss at the hands of Northside. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Comeaux's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for St. Thomas More, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
