The New Knoxville Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 45-35 to Van Buren.

Despite the loss, New Knoxville had strong showings from Addi Albers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Brynn Egbert, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The matchup was Albers' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

New Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Van Buren, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

New Knoxville will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Coldwater at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Coldwater is on a four-game streak of home losses, New Knoxville a 12-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Van Buren will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
