Basketball Recap: Middletown Knights vs. Williamsport Wildcats
Middletown was the 77-60 winner over Williamsport when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Middletown Knights took a hard 75-56 fall against the Williamsport Wildcats on Thursday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williamsport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ceonta Wilmore, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Wilmore is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Markell Campbell was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and four steals.
Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Williamsport, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Middletown has already played their next game (against Boonsboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Williamsport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-44 win against Smithsburg on the 31st.
