Volleyball Recap: Carlin Comes Up Short

Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wells Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Carlin sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-15, 19-25, 15-13.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Wells, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 5-14 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Carlin and Lund will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wells, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Owyhee on the 10th.
