Basketball Game Preview: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. Alexandria City Titans

Lake Braddock and Alexandria City are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Lake Braddock Bruins will take on the Alexandria City Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Monday, Lake Braddock came up short against Woodson and fell 64-54. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Cavaliers are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Alexandria City lost 63-39 to West Potomac on Monday.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Lake Braddock, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Everything came up roses for Lake Braddock against Alexandria City when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 75-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Braddock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
